“Multi-scale Matching for flows with a Grid” is an ANR-funded project granted to Francesco Romanò as ANR-JCJC in 2021. The project started in March 2022 and will end in February 2026.
MultiMatchGrid will develop a novel approach based on first principles, numerical simulations, and artificial intelligence. The long-term goal is to improve the robustness and security of grid-based flow control. Potential applications include control of turbulent pipe flows, mixing enhancers for heat exchangers, and inflow control in turbomachinery.
Hossameldin Abdelaziz successfully defended his Master Thesis and he started as Ph.D. student (1/10/2022 – 30/09/2025) within the framework of MultiMatchGrid.
