Lagrangian Topology in Steady 3D Flows
Streamline topology of the steady flow in cubic three-dimensional lid-driven cavity for Re = 300. Regions of chaotic and regular streamlines are identified by accurate numerical simulations. The most prominent Kolmogorov-Arnoldi-Moser torus made by the regular streamlines is depicted together with a chaotic and a regular tracer.
